A Shared Passion
Bankside Emporium began as a shared dream between Ian and Molly — a lifelong collector and a lifelong animal lover with a passion for conservation and sustainable living. For Molly, antiques have always been about more than style; they represent a way of reusing and preserving craftsmanship that already exists. For Ian, they’re about the thrill of discovery and the stories hidden in each object.
From Idea to Reality
What began as weekends spent exploring vintage markets and restoration fairs grew into a vision for something bigger: a place where character, craftsmanship, and community come together under one roof.
A Space for Discovery
Now open in Kidlington, just outside Oxford and the Cotswolds, Bankside Emporium is designed to be more than just an antiques centre. It’s a friendly, welcoming space where serious collectors, interior designers, and curious visitors alike can uncover treasures that tell a story.
Supporting Sellers and the Community
We want to create a place that feels homely and human — where independent dealers feel supported and customers feel inspired. That means offering flexible spaces and glass showcases to suit different sellers, along with a helping hand in marketing and promotion. We’re also planning occasional pop-up events, such as local food days, community meet-ups, and creative workshops that bring people together around good stories and good company.
Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future
At Bankside Emporium, every item has a history, every dealer has a passion, and every visitor adds a new chapter. Whether you come to browse, buy, or sell, you’ll be part of something that celebrates the art of discovery and the charm of the past — all while supporting a more sustainable future.
